01

Your family history is not a feed

Photo software should protect your memories—not rent them back to you.

Phones fill up. Cloud accounts change. Old hard drives get forgotten. Pika gives ordinary families a clear, permanent home for the photographs that matter most.

It is designed around ownership: your files remain normal files, your library lives on your computer, and every organizational choice stays reversible.

A complete photo home

Room for your growing library.
Comfortable enough for everyone.

Pika handles the unglamorous work—imports, metadata, duplicates, organization, and backups—then gets out of the way.

02

Bring everything home

Import from almost anywhere.

Use a USB cable, private Wi-Fi transfer, camera, memory card, watched folder, or cloud-sync folder. Dedicated migration tools restore Google Photos Takeout and Apple Photos privacy exports.

  • Dates and GPS preserved
  • Verified copies
  • Duplicate protection
03

Photo Care

Clear the clutter without losing the good stuff.

Pika groups bursts, similar photos, and recompressed copies, flags blurry or dark images, and recommends the strongest shot. Nothing is deleted without you.

  • Best-photo recommendations
  • Similar-photo groups
  • Quality review
04

Non-destructive editing

Improve the view. Preserve the original.

Adjust exposure, contrast, color, warmth, rotation, and straightening with a live rule-of-thirds grid. Save a reversible recipe or export a new full-resolution image.

Privacy is the architecture

Your library is yours—even when the internet is not.

Pika is a native desktop application. Its catalog, face recognition, visual search, OCR, maps, edits, and backup history all run locally.

Good questions

Before you bring your library over.

Does Pika upload my photos?

No. Pika reads and organizes media locally. An internet connection is not required for everyday use, and Offline Lock can shut off network access whenever you want.

Will Pika move or alter my originals?

No. Watched folders are indexed in place. Edits are stored as small reversible recipes, and an edited image is created only when you explicitly export a new copy.

Can it handle a large photo library?

Yes. Pika uses a persistent SQLite catalog, cached thumbnails, progressive gallery rendering, and resumable analysis built for libraries with tens of thousands of items.

Can I leave Pika later?

Yes. Your originals remain ordinary files. Portable XMP sidecars can preserve ratings, captions, keywords, dates, locations, rotation, and favorites outside Pika’s catalog.
